Pre-treatment Instructions for B12 / Lipo / Mega Burn Injections
Pretreatment Instructions for B12/Lipo/Mega Burn Injections
B12, Lipo (Lipotropics), and Mega Burn injections are commonly used to boost energy, aid in fat loss, and support metabolism. To ensure the best results and minimize the risk of side effects, please follow these pretreatment instructions:
Stay Hydrated
Drink plenty of water in the days leading up to your appointment to ensure your body is well-hydrated. Staying hydrated supports the effectiveness of the injections.
Avoid Alcohol
Refrain from drinking alcohol for 24–48 hours before your appointment. Alcohol can dehydrate your body and may interfere with the effectiveness of the injections.
Avoid Caffeine
Limit or avoid caffeine for 24 hours before the procedure. Caffeine can affect your body’s natural hydration levels and may impact how your body responds to the injection.
No Heavy Meals Before the Appointment
Avoid eating heavy, greasy meals for at least 2 hours before the injection. A light meal or snack is fine, but a heavy meal may cause discomfort when receiving the injection.
Medications and Supplements
If you are taking any medications or supplements, especially those that affect your metabolism, fat burning, or energy levels, inform your practitioner prior to the injection.
If you are on any blood thinners or have any medical conditions (e.g., thyroid issues, diabetes), discuss these with your provider to ensure the injection is safe for you.
Avoid Excessive Exercise Before Treatment
Refrain from strenuous physical activity for at least 24 hours before the injection. Intense exercise may affect how your body responds to the injection and could increase the risk of side effects such as soreness or bruising at the injection site.
No Skin Irritation or Active Infections
Do not receive the injection if you have an active skin infection or irritation at the injection site. It is important for your skin to be clear and healthy to minimize any risk of infection.
Inform the Provider of Any Allergies
Inform your practitioner of any known allergies, particularly to vitamins, minerals, or any substances commonly used in injections, including B12, lipotropic compounds, or other additives.
Medical History
Inform your practitioner if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or planning to become pregnant. While B12 injections are generally considered safe, certain treatments (like Lipo/Mega Burn) may need special consideration during these periods.
Rest and Relax
Get adequate rest before the appointment to allow your body to be in the best condition for the injection.
Post-Treatment Care (Optional but Recommended)
Be prepared for minor swelling or tenderness at the injection site. This is normal and should subside within a few hours to a day.
Avoid massaging the injection site for at least 24 hours.
